Uttar Pradesh, India’s largest state, is a haven for birdlife, hoosting over 500 species, including 13 globally threatened ones like the Slender-Billed Vulture and Sarus Crane. Its diverse habitats, from the Himalayan foothills to the alluvial Gangetic plains, make it ideal for both resident and migratory birds.
To celebrate this rich avian diversity, the annual Uttar Pradesh Bird Festival is held at Chambal, drawing ornithologists, photographers and birding enthusiasts from around the world. For the festival, we have a set up a camp with 100 luxury tents, creating a vibrant birding village. Over three days, attendees can enjoy expert talks, bird photography sessions and hands-on demonstrations and walking safaris in the National Chambal Wildlife Sanctuary. The festival offers a unique opportunity to immerse in the wonders of birdlife and conversation efforts.
